Garage door won't open?
An MB pro near you can diagnose it and give you a free estimate — broken springs, dead openers, doors off track or a full replacement.

What your MB pro can help with
Your garage door is the largest moving part of your home and, in Florida, the largest opening a hurricane can push on. When it fails, the car is stuck and the house is exposed. Tell us what it's doing and we'll match you with a vetted garage door pro near you.
- Broken torsion and extension springs, replaced and balanced.
- Openers that click, hum or ignore the remote — repaired or replaced.
- Doors off track, frayed cables, worn rollers and noisy hinges.
- Dented or damaged panels and worn weather seals.
- Safety sensors that make the door reverse before it closes.
- New wind-rated doors with the product approval your county requires.
Wind-rated doors and permits
Replacing a garage door in Florida generally needs a building permit, and the new door must be an approved product rated for your area's wind load — a Miami-Dade NOA in Miami-Dade and Broward (the High-Velocity Hurricane Zone), Florida Product Approval elsewhere. Repairs to springs, cables and openers usually don't need a permit.
Your MB pro handles the permit when the job needs one.

Garage door questions, answered
- Is a broken spring dangerous?
- Yes. Garage door springs are under heavy tension and can cause serious injury. Don't try to remove or adjust one yourself, and don't force the door open — leave it for the pro.
- Should I repair or replace the door?
- Springs, cables, rollers, openers and single panels can usually be repaired. If the door is old, badly damaged or not wind-rated, ask the pro to quote both so you can compare.
- What should I put on the form?
- What the door is doing (won't open, stuck halfway, loud bang, opener hums), the brand if you know it, and your city. It helps the pro come prepared.
