A sliding door should glide with one hand
Dragging, jumping the track, won't lock, fogged glass — an MB pro near you can get it gliding again. Free estimates.

What your MB pro can help with
A sliding glass door rides on two small rollers. When they wear, the door drags, the track grooves out, the latch stops lining up and every open takes two hands. Salt air and summer rain speed that up. A vetted sliding door pro from our network can get yours gliding again.
- Roller replacement and adjustment so the door glides again.
- Track repair and stainless track caps for worn or bent tracks.
- Locks, handles, keepers and add-on keyed locks.
- Fogged, cracked or broken glass panels replaced.
- Screen doors re-screened, re-wheeled or replaced.
- Weatherstripping and sill sealing against drafts, water and bugs.
Repair or replacement?
Rollers, tracks, locks, glass and screens can usually be repaired without a permit. Replacing the whole door is different: it usually needs a permit, and in Florida the new door must be approved for your area's wind zone — impact-rated where the code calls for it, with a Miami-Dade NOA in Miami-Dade and Broward and Florida Product Approval elsewhere.
For a full replacement, your MB pro handles the permit.

Sliding door questions, answered
- My door is very heavy. Can it be fixed?
- Usually. A heavy door almost always means worn rollers riding on a worn track. New rollers and a track cap often bring back the easy glide.
- The door won't lock. Is that urgent?
- It's a security problem, so say so on the form. Until it's fixed, a bar or dowel laid in the track will keep it from sliding open.
- Does the brand matter?
- Mention it if you know it — it helps the pro bring the right rollers and parts. The brand name is often on the frame or the glass.
